Arsenal Players Allowed to Return to Training on Monday

Arsenal will become the first Premier League club to return to training since the suspension of the remaining league games due to the outbreak of Coronavirus.

Arsenal have confirmed their players will be allowed to return to their London Colney training ground on Monday, but they must still abide by social distancing guidelines.

“Players will be permitted access to our London Colney training grounds next week. Access will be limited, carefully managed and social distancing will be maintained at all times,” a club spokesperson said.

“All Colney buildings remain closed. Players will travel alone, do their individual workout and return home.”

According to Metro UK, the players will also operate on a strict rotational basis, with small groups arriving individually and they will not come into contact with each other.

A club spokesperson confirmed: ‘Players will be permitted access to our London Colney training grounds next week. ‘Access will be limited, carefully managed and social distancing will be maintained at all times. All Colney buildings remain closed. Players will travel alone, do their individual workout and return home.’

Meanwhile, Premier League return is being considered in June with the remaining games expected to be played behind closed doors due to social distancing concerns.
