AC Milan Striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has praised himself claiming he would have helped Italian club win the “Serie A” had he been signed at the start of the season, after he helped the club beat league leaders Juventus 4-2 on Tuesday July 7.
The former Manchester United and Barcelona player scored from the penalty spot against Juve on Tuesday and put to bed efforts from Adrien Rabiot and Cristiano Ronaldo with Franck Kessie, Rafael Leao.
A three-goal flurry within five minutes helped shrink that deficit, with Rebic scoring the game’s final goal to seal an 18-minute span of dominance for Milan.
With the victory, Milan are up to fifth as they have beaten title rivals Lazio and Juve in consecutive matches.
Reacting to their recent wins, Ibrahimovic said he would have made the club more successful had he been signed earlier.
Ibrahimovic told DAZN: “If I was here from the beginning of the season, we would have won the Scudetto!”
Ibrahimovic who has been hailed as a role model for his Milan team-mates added:
“I am president, coach and player, but they only pay me as a footballer.”
